Shredder Security Levels

Ultimately there are 2 types of shredders, a stripcut and a crosscut shredder.As the names suggest they shred paper either into strips or into cross cut pieces.

Stripcut shredders generally have a lower level of security, ranging from a level 1 ( lease secure ) to about a level 3. Crosscut shredders start at level 3 and range up to a level 6.

Security Level 1 : For shredding general internal documents. Usually stripcut

Security Level 2 : For shredding sensitive internal documents.

Security Level 3 : For shredding confidential documents

Security Level 4 : For shredding of secret documents

Security Level 5 : Top secret document shreddering

Security Level 6 : Ultra secure shredding for the most sensitive top secret documents.
